Labor and Delivery

Did you have a rough labor and delivery with your child? Was it a 24 hour ordeal? Let me just tell you the worst kind of labor and delivery. The kind where you are waiting on the government to deliver your child... or in this case, children. And not the American government, but the Russian government. Some very good friends of our down in the Austin area are literally just sitting and waiting on the Russian government so they can adopt their children. They are in Russia right now, I believe in Siberia, just waiting because their court date, which was suppose to be today, has been postponed due to a tiny piece of paper. This is where the physical Siberian image collides with the metaphorical.

We are in deep prayer for these friends of ours as they await the delivery of their children. I can not imagine what it would be like to be stuck in a foreign country where I don't speak the language, have severe jet lag, have no interest in site seeing and just praying for my children to be in my arms and to be officially called mine.

We are in need of prayers warriors to stand in the gap and pray for strength for this family. Pray for the Lord to move the Russian government and for the courts to allow 2 children to be held by a family who desperately wants and loves them.
