Oh my stars... literally, stars - Hollywood Stars. People who think they are the voice of America and therefore have some incessant need to give their highly-skewed political opinion to anyone with a microphone. I just got through reading some of the comments actors/actresses are saying regarding Sarah Palin. And my co-worker said it best when she said "I think celebrities think that they are more important than they really are." Well said. Many comments were made about "Does McCain think that we're dumb enough to vote for a woman just because we supported Hillary?" Well - do YOU think we're dumb enough to vote (or not vote) for someone just because of your golden, red carpeted opinion?
Out of all the comments I read the one I could most respect was Meg Ryan's - "It's amazing that a woman has come that far. But from what I know about her, her policies are not things I agree with." GREAT! I simple stance that she just doesn't agree with the policies and congratulates a women for her efforts. Enough said.
I'm just worn out with celebrities trying to use every avenue of their stardom to sway a nation. The very nation that gave them their stardom.
Exiting my soap box now...
