Work it... Own it...

Well looky here... another blog post. Here I am to say "toot toot" - and that's my own horn by the way... in case you didn't visually catch that.
Day 3 of returning back to the workout world.
I get bored with working out so I have to keep things spicy. Yesterday as I was doing my 15 minutes on the treadmill (after the 15 minutes on the elliptical), I looked down to see the racquetball courts (my gym is 2 levels). I thought to myself "mmmm, I remember doing that in college and it being kind of fun." So I made it a goal today to bounce that little ball around in the little room (after I sent Jeff to WalMart to get me a racquetball racquet last night!).
My last memory of me playing racquetball in college was slamming myself in the wall (several times - did I say it was "fun"!?) to get to the ball. Hey - it's a small room... you get that momentum going and it's hard to stop yourself! Maybe that's part of the exercise. Anyway... I digress.
So I was little nervous to get in there knowing that the WHOLE (LA Fitness workout) WORLD could see me. Do they really have to have a floor to ceiling glass wall there facing the workout floor?

But I just walked in like I knew EXACTLY (ha ha!) what I was doing (own it!) and hit the ball around. It is quite the workout!!! After 10 minutes that heart was A-PUMPIN'!!!! I managed to make it 20 minutes and was satisfied. And hey - it left me a few extra minutes this morning to write this post!!!

Gracious woman...what time did you get up this morning?! I'm proud of you for owning it! That sounds really fun. If ever I had the opportunity to play racquetball with you, I would. And I'd wipe the floor with ya. Of course, I'm all talk. I've never played in my life. Much love!

you're a better woman than me... I'd be falling all over myself and slamming in to walls for sure.
