The phrase I've been clinging to lately is "You either trust God or you don't". There truly is no middle ground. It goes well with the theme of my life lately - sovereignty.
Last night as we moved in to contract on a house we've been trying to sell for 6 years I cling to this logic now more than ever. Perhaps it's my time spent in real estate and mortgage that lends me a wide eye to everything that could possible go wrong where I could be cautiously optimistic about this venture. But instead I choose to grasp to the fact that I truly trust God. Should everything fall apart, I still know He's in control. If the last year and a half doesn't loudly proclaim that God always takes care of us, I don't know what else could.
One fun fact about the recent contract on our house... we leave July 6th for a mission trip to Vancouver. The closing on our house is scheduled for July 3rd. (We seem to have a trend with buying/selling houses in the midst of foreign travel!) That is truly God's remarkable hand all over that date. We are waiting in expectation for the Lord's sovereignty to prevail during this time.
