Our second flight was delayed trying to get in to Seattle yesterday. Since we didn't have a lot of wiggle room in our schedule for that day and the delay was completely out of our control, I had no choice but to chillax. Once we embarked our plane we were greeted with little tv screens in front us talking about the plane crash in San Francisco. Nice.
We finally arrived in Seattle. Got our little rental car hiccup squared away (shout out to National Car rental for working with us so wonderfully!) and settled in to our hotel room.
Checking out the view... I've trained them well.
First stop, Seattle Space Needle.
"Hey honey. The Space Needle isn't but about a mile. And the weather is so nice. Why don't we just walk to the Needle."
Dumbest idea ever. A mile is much longer than it seems when you're in a hurry. And although the temps were great, the humidity... not so much.
But we made it. We did not go to the top. I do believe Jesus enveloped my little darling when she said "Mom, we don't have to go to the top."
PRAISE. THE. LORD. Saved a couple of hours in line and $50!
We Monorailed it back to our neck of the woods and only trudged .2 miles to... the... beloved... STARBUCKS.
That first original Starbucks sip. Bliss.
And then the drive to Alki Beach. The last time I was there it became one of my most favorite places because of the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. That was quickly shattered when we turned the corner and was greeted by what appeared to be a ton of Spring Breakers complete with domestic drama next to our dinner table. Were it not for the cooler temps I would have sworn we were in South Padre. There were cars and people EVERYWHERE. But we had our obligatory seafood meal. And walked along the beach. I still love Alki Beach because of the spectacular sunset view it offers...
Tomorrow we will have a little more free time and then tomorrow night we get to meet The Point team that we work with for the week! I'm so very excited and consciously making the statement over and over... Use me Lord for Your Glory. Can't wait!
Until next time...
