Twelve hours to go before we begin our journey.
Helen Keller said "The only thing worse than having no sight is, to have sight, but no vision."
This has been a vision in the making for many years. You can have sight. But to have a vision means you put action behind what you've set your sights on. I am humbled that the Lord has brought me to a point of fulfilling a vision and using our family for His Kingdom.
This is most definitely the point where we step to the side and say "Lord, take over."
I would love to say that I lay myself down each day on the alter and say those same words, but here, in my own comfortable surroundings where people love you, flaws and all... I feel the Kingdom impact is reduced. So there is a bubbling excitement of leaving behind what people think you are and getting a fresh opportunity to letting others see Jesus through you.
So our prayer request on the eve of the mission is that we would look for and find opportunities for show people the love of Christ. We pray for the people we would encounter that they would be open to just receiving love.
